Ivy Tea House is located in a newly-renovated cottage in the heart of Historic Norcross (just north of Atlanta) serving afternoon tea featuring a modern twist on tea time delights both sweet and savory.

 

Set in a charming historic cottage, Ivy Tea House aims to bring the sophistication attributed to tea time with updated southern, British, and French classics. Maureen Adams of Bleu House and Nicole Outler of Gingerspice Bakery have teamed together to bring flavor and sophistication in an elegant space at Ivy Tea House. Our in-house tea consultant, Aranthza Fenimore, has crafted a stunning menu filled with custom-blended teas and tisanes. And our daily menu is crafted and executed by Tammy Johnson, with a focus on clean, satisfying, and above all, delicious bites for lunch and afternoon tea!

Ivy Tea House is also available to for your next event! Our cottage is is perfect for showers, rehearsals, birthdays, photoshoots, and workshops.

Reservations required for parties of 5 or more during the week. Reservations required for all high tea menus and Saturday visits.

Your reservation is not confirmed until someone calls you to get a credit card on file and confirms a date + time. You will get a response within 24–48 hours.

You can update the number of your guests anytime, up to 48 hours prior to your reservation for parties of 1 to 7 guests. Please allow at least 5 days notice for 8 or more guests.

Adding additional guest(s) to an existing reservation requires at least 24 hours notice and is subject to seating availability.

We always work to accommodate walk-ins and offer our daily menu and afternoon tea menu. Seating is first come, first served so there may be a wait and it will not be high tea service. Saturdays are HIGH TEA reservation only.

While we don’t permit children under 6 (including infants) at high tea, children are welcome. Unfortunately, we have very few high chairs available and children should be supervised at all times.

A reservation is a promise. Our food is made to order based on the number of people who have made a reservation. For this reason please give us at least 48 hours notice (longer, if possible and at least 5 days for parties of 8 or more).

In the event that the number of people in your party decreases, or if you need to cancel your reservation entirely. Proper notice helps us avoid food waste and it also gives us the opportunity to call the next person on our wait list.

As such, a $15 per person fee will be charged for any high tea reservation not cancelled (or rescheduled) 48 hours prior to your reservation time or for failing to show up on the day of your reservation.

General questions

Do you accept walk-ins?
Short answer: yes! Wednesday thru Friday. Seating is first come, first served. Please note that we cannot accommodate larger parties (5+ guests) without reservations.

May I be seated at the booth?
We can definitely try our best to accommodate your request but unfortunately we are not able to guarantee any table. You may however reserve the booth if your party has 8 to 12 guests.

May I order à la carte?
Absolutely! We offer a fine selection of sweets and savories available to order a la carte during the week.

Do you have menu that is gluten free?
We do! All of our high tea menus can be ordered gluten-free (please allow at lest 48 hours notice). We also offer an assortment of gluten-free options on our a la carte menu during the week.

Where can I park?
We have a large lot (part paved and part graveled) with plenty of parking. There are also a handful of street parking spaces along Holcomb Bridge Road and on College Street.

May we bring a cake or champagne?
We do not allow any outside food and there will be a corkage fee of $10 per bottle. We offer custom cakes and desserts to make your gathering even more special. Desserts are provided by our in-house pastry chef Gingerspice Bakery (please visit their website to see all the goodies available).

May we bring decorations?
We kindly request only small party favors, decorations or flower arrangements. Guests are to remove all decorations at the end of their visit. Please keep in mind that there will be several trays, plates, teapots, and teacups on the table as well. Please refrain from bringing glitter or confetti for decorations.

SPECIAL DIETARY INFORMATION

What if we need to request gluten-free, vegan, or other dietary options?*

We do our best to provide gluten free and vegan options for purchase a la carte at our counter. We also accommodate gluten-free high tea requests with at least 48 hours notice.

• We do not offer a vegan option for high teas at this time. Our menu is not dairy free (however, we can omit cheese and cream cheese from sandwiches, with advance notice).

• If someone in your group requests gluten-free or another special menu substitution, and they are not able to attend, we require at least 24 hours notice. If that person is removed from your reservation on the day-of (or does not show), after we have already prepared their special meal, we will charge a $10 fee (on top of our $15 no-show fee) to offset the cost of special ingredients/foods that are not part of our usual menu.

• When making a reservation, let us know if anyone in your group has a food allergy or dietary restriction. Please do not guess. Instead, please check with all members in your party in advance to avoid last minute confusion or disappointment.

• We will do our best to meet special dietary requests, but notice must be given at least 48 hours in advance of an existing reservation (preferably more). We cannot guarantee accommodations for every dietary need.

* For those with food allergies, please note that our kitchen prepares items containing nuts, dairy, eggs, wheat, fish, and soy.

• For groups of 8 or more guests, a 50% deposit will be charged. The deposit for parties of 8+ becomes nonrefundable 1 week before your scheduled party, but is applied towards your total for kept reservations.

Large party & Event space information

LARGE PARTIES

For parties of larger than 8 guests we require a reservation at least 1 week in advance. You may choose from any of our high tea menus; please select one menu for your group. Tax and gratuity are not included in pricing.

No outside food or desserts are permitted, but we offer custom cakes or desserts from our bakery that you may add to your order. (Please see our in-house pastry chef Gingerspice Bakery for availability and ordering)

All decorations must be confined to your tables. Please refrain from bringing glitter or confetti.

Your reservation is not confirmed until we call you to confirm your reservation; at that point a credit card must given and a 50% deposit will be charged. That deposit becomes nonrefundable 1 week before your scheduled party, but is applied towards your total for kept reservations.

RENTING HALF THE TEA HOUSE

If you have a party of 15 to 20 guests visiting during open hours, you must rent half of the tea house. We require at least 1 week advance notice. There is no fee to rent half the space, but we ask that you limit your party to 2 hours.

You may choose any of our high tea menus; please select one menu for your group. Tax and gratuity are not included.

Other customers will be in the tea house, but we have privacy curtains to separate your party. We do not have a private room. Weather permitting, you may rent our patio if you prefer to be outside.

Please email or call to make a rental reservation. Your reservation is not confirmed until we speak to you to confirm your reservation; at that point a credit card must given and a 50% deposit will be charged. That deposit becomes nonrefundable 1 week before your scheduled party, but is applied towards your total for kept reservations.

BUYING OUT THE TEA HOUSE

If you have a party of 20 or more guests or if you would like to use the tea house during non-business hours, a buy out is required for use of the space.

Your reservation is not confirmed until we speak to you to confirm your reservation; at that point a credit card must given and a 50% deposit will be charged. That deposit becomes nonrefundable 1 week before your scheduled party, but is applied towards your total for kept reservations.

Changes can be made to the reservation up to 48 hours before the event.

A $15 per person fee will be charged for any reservation not cancelled 48 hours prior to your reservation time.
